Alex Brown Church, better known as Sea Wolf, returns this month with a special Kickstarter-funded album entitled, Song Spells, No. 1: Cedarsmoke.  Alex raised over $60K last September to put the album together without any interference help from a record label and will be giving it away for whatever you want to pay in June.  We've heard 2 songs and are exicted for more!  Driftwood donated $30 (in exchange for a ticket to the Hollywood Forever Release concert) so I guess that technically means that Driftwood Records has put out yet another album.  :)  Hear Sea Wolf's new tunes live at some not-so-known venues at the end of May:

Great first song off the upcoming latest album by Sea Wolf, a longtime Driftwood favorite.  We were fortunate to catch Alex Church's first LA performance in 2 years last week at KCRW's "Into the Night" show at the Skirball Center.  Great night.

We'll probably put up a tune or two from concerts we're going to or went to...I went to see The Album Leaf and Sea Wolf Saturday night at the El Rey.  One's folksy (and on my favorite label) and the other is mellow (and kinda Sigur Rosy-Postal Servicey).
