It may only be 6 weeks since our last Travis post but we're big fans over here at Driftwood and I couldn't resist sharing my favorite song off their latest album, Where You Stand. The expectedly perfect tune from Fran and the boys makes you just want to stand in a Scottish field with 3 of your friends and bop around. If only someone would capture that feeling and put it on YouTube. Bop around with Driftwood and Travis at the Wiltern on Oct. 4 and pick up the excellent album now!

Moving by TRAVIS [2013]
We owe a lot to Travis. The first show Eric and I went to together was a Travis show. We met some people at that show who are now some of our closest friends. And then there's the name of our blog. So we're pretty happy that Travis is back with a new album in August, and the video for their new single "Moving" is pretty amazing. It's made up of a series of animations projected onto the band's breath, in real time, using no post-production. Great visuals for a great song. Catch them with us on Oct 4 at the Wiltern.

Buttercups by FRAN HEALY [2010]
by Fran Healy [official - Last.FM]
Fran Healy, lead singer of Travis and name-giver of your favorite blog, dabbles in solitude when he releases Wreckorder, his first solo album, on October 5. Who doesn't love Travis? (Thanks Brit for passing this along!)
