I love when opening bands at shows are really good. You feel like you get more bang for your concert buck, and you get to discover new music that you otherwise wouldn't have been listening to. Some friends and I saw Dragonette open for Little Boots the other night at the El Rey, and they were a fun, pleasant surprise. Say hello to some Canadian electropop featuring Sara Quin (of Tegan and Sara) on backing vocals.
