Sorry for sleeping on this song friends! Released earlier in the year, "Queen", the second song off of Perfume Genius' 3rd album Too Bright has been a staple on Sirius XMU as of late...and I'm thankful for it. As noted over on Stereogum, Mike Hadreas had a great quote about the the song's gay panic theme:
"Sometimes I see faces of blank fear when I walk by … if these fucking people want to give me some power — if they see me as some sea witch with penis tentacles that are always prodding and poking and seeking to convert the muggles — well, here she comes."Perfume Genius returns to touring next year with a few dates in the US starting in March 2015.
